I've recently started to get my exercise on!! And let me tell you...I am SORE!! That means I'm doing something right though, otherwise exercising would be pointless! I've began to eat way more healthier. A few months back I was getting on track with healthy foods like I was in the Summer time. In Summer, I had lost weight, looked healthier and fit. Once the colder weather came, and here came the thicker clothing and jackets, came on the fattier foods and some weight gain. Plus, I stopped exercising! Never a good look! So, here I am to start off the year 2011 with a healthy lifestyle, nutritional food & fun but effective fitness plan!!
I'm excited to see results though I just started, so its gonna take a little while for me to feel more fit. I am keeping track of my fat and calorie intake. It really depends on your current weight & height, and the weight you want to be, as to how many calories you're consuming on a daily basis. You must also have a good workout routine. I like to mix mine up with first stretching, Pilates, dance workouts, and strength training! I get bored very easily with working out, but if I feel like its fun like old dance classes I was in, then it's going to work for me! Everybody is different! I do not like running, I'd rather light jog or speed walk. Really early in the morning too is best. You beat a bunch of people outside in your neighborhood, so its more peaceful, and you really soak in the outdoors!
I hopefully am going to keep up this new healthy lifestyle for more than a month or two. I want to keep this up, and really make this a whole family habit! Hopefully I stick to it!
From my soon-to-be rockin' body to yours.....XOXO

FIVE WAYS TO MAKE YOUR DAY BETTER!
Somedays are just not GREAT days. Why can't everyday feel like it's the best day ever?! If you suffer from days like today where things don't turn out the way you wanted them to, or you're just in a shitty mood...I've figured out some ways to make your day a bit more promising!
FIVE WAYS TO MAKE YOUR DAY BETTER!
#1- If you're a woman, putting on a cute outfit, styling your hair, and putting on some make-up can make your inner self feel happier just by fixing up your outer self! A little confidence boost can really give you a boost on your happy meter! If you're a man, maybe putting on a nice outfit or clothes that make you feel good can also lift your spirits! Try styling your hair, (if you have hair), or maybe shaving or trimming your goatee, mustache, or beard, (if that applies to you), can brighten your day! If you've ever gone for a haircut, went shopping for new clothes, or maybe had your make-up done by a professional, you'll notice that all of those things are making your outer appearance more lovely than they already are, and in doing so makes you FEEL more lovelier inside!
#2- Do something you enjoy! If you have a hobby or maybe just something you like to do, but don't seem to have the time for it...make time! A hobby by definition is: an activity pursued for pleasure rather than money. It is not a job, though if you have a career, I'm sure you enjoy your "job" then. Make time for your favorite hobby! It will bring joy to a day that hasn't been up to your happy standards!
#3- Go to your favorite place that can always bring a smile to your face! =) A spot in your home, outside in nature, a restaurant, a library, the mall...anywhere that brings sunshine to your life! A surrounding that you know doesn't ever make you feel down would be the ideal place to visit!
#4- Be with people who can make you laugh about a bad day! Call up a family member or friend to talk over your troubles, meet up with a friend or a group of friends, or hang out with your family. One person who has uplifting words can truly make your bad day turn into a good day!
#5- Think happy thoughts!! Being a Negative Nancy won't fix anything! If your having a terrible day, and all you keep thinking about is how awful your day is going....the only thing you're going to attract are awful things! Sometimes bad things can happen that are out of our control. But what we feel on the inside is in our control! Think positively, think about good things that can come your way, and you will see how quickly your day can turn around! If your thoughts are of pleasant things, and you have a happy, friendly attitude...you will attract happy, friendly people as well as pleasant circumstances!
I hope these FIVE WAYS TO MAKE YOUR DAY BETTER work for you on a bad day you wish to make a happy day!
Sending you happy vibes from my blog to yours....

Sisters, Vanities, & Ghosts?! Oh my!!
A recent conversation I've had with my Sister about a Vanity has now made me want to go get one as well. I've never really needed one in my room, which I share obviously with my Husband. I have a large dresser with a mirror...another large mirror as decor. My bathroom is adorned with mirrors, but the more I think of a Vanity to display all my girly trinkets the more I want to own one! You see I live in a household filled with boys! I also have a 10 year old Step-Son who visits here weekly, along with my 4 year old Son, and my Husband...I'm outnumbered! Actually, I guess that would make me the Queen of the house! Not too bad I guess! =) So, if I shall garner the title of Queen, every Queen should possess her own chic Vanity! Right?! I'm on the hunt for one which shouldn't be massive in size nor too small. I mean I'm not 6 years old....I have to be able to fit my legs under there! I'm thinking maybe something white or Tiffany blue! Something really glam...or maybe chic...maybe cute? GlamChicCute! Yes...all 3!
To find something that possesses all 3 qualities....haha I'm making it sound like this Vanity is a person! Anywho, to find something that meets my criteria might be a challenge. Especially something inexpensive will be hard to come by! The conversation I had with my Sister included the idea of going to a thrift store of some sort! We don't do antiques! Something about antique stores gives us the willies! I'll elaborate on that story in a minute. So, maybe I'll find an old Vanity/Desk....fix it up, paint it, put on cute knobs, by a mirror and have it lean on my vanity against my wall! I think thats going to be my best plan! Well, the story about antique stores goes a 'lil something like this...my Sister and I were going to a store that was right next to an antique shop. We noticed a sign on their window stating that they were closed. It turns out that the store was out of business..we just happened to peak inside the dark-colored windows, but in doing so we noticed something very strange written on the glass. Next to the store hours and days they were open, which were in big letters and numbers, appeared a number for "EMERGENCIES"! Now, this wasn't a number for an emergency such as an accident or robbery, etc... it was a number of either the store owner or manager, where they could be reached for what we're assuming was emergencies regarding the antiques themselves. I've heard that objects can obtain the souls of those who've passed on that once owned these objects. So, in our thinking someone purchases an antique, takes it home, and realizes that this thing is freakin' haunted! Uuummm....yeah no thanks! They would then have to resort to this "emergency number" to complain about their haunted clock, doll, dresser, book...? Whatever the item, it really creeps me out! Although, I have stepped foot in an antique shop and wasn't so creeped out...I could see how these things would be creepy!
As for my Vanity hunt, along with my Sister, whom I have yet to tell I'm thinking of getting one too! Not to be a copy cat....but meeoow! =) I will hopefully find one soooon! Wish me Happy Hunting!!!!
From my hopefully non-possessed Vanity to yours....enjoy the rest of your day!!!

A New Year..A New Perspective!
The year 2011 has begun, and I really feel like this year is the start of something fresh! More so than any other year's beginning! So that is why I've decided to write my very own blog! To let you into my world a little bit, I'm a stay-at-home Mom and I truly want the best for my 'lil man! His name is Gabriel, and he's 4! I'm married to a wonderful man named Raul! Well, I guess I'm going to write things in a little more detail as to who I surround myself with and what I'm about for those who don't know me, just in case you read this and you already know me. I adore the 40's/50's eras, anything to do with Pin-up art/looks, love fooooood, cupcakes/cakes (yummy..getting hungry just thinking of it), music (singing, dancing, lover of all kinds of music), movies (love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton), love Halloween, make-up, clothes/shoes/purses! Pretty much I'm your average girl, except I'm quite random! I'm full of wacky thoughts, very blunt (which isn't always good), and crazy/lovable! =)
For me 2010 really flew by! I still remember 2009's Christmas pretty vividly, and to think that 2010's Christmas has already passed is insane to me! These years are going way too fast for I now have a 4 year old son! Aaaahhh! I love watching him grow, but he won't be little forever and that saddens me. =( Every year he gets older is another milestone in his and my life! We're really growing up together since I had him at 19 going on 20. He's my partner in crime! Haha! We're really angels...I swear! I know that I have a lot of things to accomplish in my life that I've been dreaming about, and soon enough those dreams will be reality! The Law of Attraction....The Secret....plus will, determination, faith, and strength will help me accomplish my goals! Life isn't just to live through, you need to grab life by the balls and say get ready 'cuz this is going to be one crazy ride!
I really want my blog to be fun, funny =D, interesting, informative, and inspiring! I hope I achieve all of those things in..."My World is a Cupcake....Always Sweet!"
